Verb Conjugation: 해요-form
Polite informal endings — present and past. Same vowel rule for both, just swap the ending.
- Present: stem + 아요/어요 (하다 → 해요). Contractions: 오+아요=와요, 시+어요=셔요, 크+어요=커요
- Past: stem + 았어요/었어요 (하다 → 했어요)
- Future: stem + ~을/ㄹ 거예요 (consonant stem → 을, vowel stem → ㄹ)
- Vowel stem → ~ㅂ니다 (가다 → 갑니다), consonant stem → ~습니다 (먹다 → 먹습니다)
- Past: past stem + 습니다 (갔어요 → 갔습니다, 먹었어요 → 먹었습니다)
